After featuring my "Automotive Portfolio" some of you asked my if I did this as a book, and I had to say no.
It got me thinking:
If I had to publish a book, how many pages would you expect, and at which price?

I´d truly appreciate if you´d be totally honest about this - I need a reality check, to see if there is any point in even getting a publisher involved.

I could offer you prints on a print-by-print basis, but the cost of a print in good quality would go thru the roof, and I am pretty sure none of you want a book with my work THAT much! ;)

So if I did a real book, I´d want it to be top drawer offset print quality.
Just want to know if there is a genuine interest, and if so, what you think a realistic price would be.

Any suggestions and thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

So, in a few days it´s time again for the bi-annual car show in Copenhagen.
Got myself a little booth/area there to see if I can convince unsuspecting Danes to buy my work.
And why shouldn´t they? I create absolutely, positively indispensable works or pure art!! :D

I am really looking forward to this for several reasons:
First of all it´s always nice to get some real-life feedback on my work.
And most importantly I am really, really anxious/excited to see if the financial crisis has made impulse purchases come to a grinding halt - or if people are still willing to spend fun money on art and eyecandy.
Or to rephrase that: "Buy my sh!!t, dammit!" :D
I guess there´s only one way to find out...

If any of you attend exhitibitions as vendors, what´s your take on this? Everything gone cold, or are people still willing to invest in art?

I am curently working around the clock - literally - to finish as many pieces as possible for this coming Tuesday.
I am focussing solely on acrylic paitings for this occasion.
If any of you have a great idea for a motif, now is the time to let me know! So don´t be shy - I could use a fresh idea for a car painting.

Need to get back to my work - just spattered red color all over my studio floor...and I am certain my cats are all over it...and then all over the table, walls etc.

I´ll be posting the new work as it comes along and as soon as I get it photographed.
Should start trickling in within a day or two, so stay tuned.

Take care,
Lasse

New GT3 design

1 min read
OK, so I have just finished a new design for a client: The Porsche 997 GT3 mk1.
I´m making a limited version with only 25 signed canvas prints total.
The original print size is 140 x 100 cm, but I will also make them in a smaller version (100 x 70 cm).

Hope you like it :D

Hi everyone,
so after having had a passive profile here on Deviantart for quite a long time, I have finally gotten around to actually USING it for something :D

A little bit about me:
I was in 1967 not far from Copenhagen, Denmark.
My mom was a fashion designer and my dad was in advertising, so it was no big surprise that I grew up to become an art director in the advertising industry.

After more than two decades of working with both very well-known multinational brands a bunch of completely unknown brands, I wanted to express myself in a less commercial and more artistic realm.
I've had a huge passion for cars all my life. The shapes, colors, drama and presence of the many iconic automobiles have always given me a kick - and so I figured I´d start by trying out cars, and see how that went.

Apart from automotive artwork, I also create commercial graphic design for a variety of clients and currently work on a few non-automotive themes that will become part of the online collection.

If you´re interested in working together on both commercial or a hobby-based different, weird or plain ol fun project - just let me know. I´d love to try something new.
Right now I am interested in doing a series of horror pieces. For some reason I have a strange fascination with zombies and vampires - so I thought I´d use those as a theme.

So let me know if you´re also travelling with The Dark Passenger, as Dexter would call it - and perhaps we can have some creative fun! :D

If you´re interested in hiring me for your next project, please see the contact section - or you can check out my website at www.bauerartwork.com for more info on pricing, contact etc etc etc.

Take care, and thanks for popping by.
Lasse
