It´s not as realistic up close, I think - photographing a painting is always hard, but I´m glad you like it
Yeah, I love splashing and dripping paint to get a nice worn/grungy feel to it.
But ironically there has to be system to the "accidental" drops, scratches and splashes.
Otherwise it starts looking like a pattern and the effects will kill the painting.
But it´s a LOT of fun to work with!
Funny, I´m an eighties kinda guy myself (constantly getting told I am an old fart stuck in the past...hehe) - but I also love the older stuff from the 20ies and forward.
I have a classic american motel sign coming up shortly - not as weathered and not as old in style - but still not the 80ies
